I get chest pain and shortness of breath along with some lightheadedness tingling in my arms and neck and I feel sick to my stomach every now and again(two times a mouth). I have had EKGS, blood work (CBC and THS) and a ultrasound on my heart all test came back normal, I'm a 32 year old woman and have good colestrol and my weight is 115 and I'm 5'4'... I'm being treated for panic attacks with Zoloft50mg. I'm wondering if it could be my heart and not panic attacks. I feel like my doctor is starting to think it is all in my head any time I have one of these attacks. Please give some advice!!!

What are you doing when this happens?

All the symptoms indicate heart problems. You need to see a cardiologist to do other tests your doctor may not know about.

Your doctor checked a CBC and THS? which is a complete blood count and (TSH) thyroid. Nothing about heart enzymes, infraction rates, etc that cardiologists use to check for heart damage.

Women do not have the same symptoms as men when having heart problems and most regular doctors are not up to date on women's heart diseases.
Have your doctor make an appointment with a cardiologist, it is quicker and your records will be sent without you having to do anything.

well stress and anxiety/panic attacks, have signs and symptoms like a heart attack or stroke...you work you body up so much, you can start feeling all these signs and symptoms. My husband has been to the doctor 4 times, and the ER for all of these symptoms!! and everything checked out normal...it indeed was panic attacks, and anxiety...If all your tests are normal, don't worry about it, you are a good weight, and only 32yrs old, not saying 32 yr olds don't have heart probs, but rest assure, you have been cleared...just continue to monitor things, if you start getting worse, def. tell a doctor, but try and relax, you are fine!! =)

You are having panic attacks...relax, let it be. If you have had all these tests done, and all have come back normal, stop with the worry. You may well be suffering from the "what if" syndrome...a nasty place to be.

it could be anxiety but also it could intercostalitis. Inflammation between the ribs. The shortness of breath could be because of the not able to expand chest cavity properly from the inflammation.

The above respondents have answered very well, my recommendations are:
1) reconsult, as you may require an increase in dosage!!
2)thyrotoxicosis.
3)keep yourself occupied.
4)be happy.
