We all know that driving a car generates CO2, but how much CO2 is generated during the manufacturing process of that car through the use of electricity, distribution etc etc?

Think about it this way.
It takes maybe 100 hours to make a car. That car will be driving for maybe 3,000 hours, 30 times as much. Per hour, it probably doesn't take much more energy to build a car, than it does to drive it. So most of the CO2 use is in operating the car.
We can help global warming by building better power plants to run the factory, and by running the factory efficiently. Those things are worth doing for cars, as for all manufacturing.
But, strictly talking about cars, the operation of the car is a bigger deal than the manufacture.

not sure, but the number 1 producer of anthropogenic carbon dioxide are coal fire power plants, which produce more co2 than all the worlds automobiles/airplanes. I'm sure it's alot, but that would be difficult to figure out. It would depend on what types of materials the car is made of, where the materials originated from, what type of power plant supplies the electricity for the factories, ect ect ect

Really? people vandalize cars of atheists? I am a Christian, and I would like to apologize for my fellow believers who honestly do not know how they come off to others. Jesus is a loving God who loves even if you have a darwin fish. Nobody has the right to take your free will away. God gave that to us to use how we want. Again, I'm sorry. For your information CO2 is not a pollutant and does not cause global warming!!! We all give off co2! Go watch 'The great global warming swindle' and learn the facts

CO2 as a pollutant is a scam . GOD put plants here to recycle our air and they give us back the O2 and keep the C to produce their food.

Not as much as you produce in one day when breathing. Never mind eco friendly cars and taxes on fuel, the problem is there are simply too many people on the planet.
