Call a recycling plant near you. We have gotten 98 cents a pound for aluminum before here in Calif.. Our plant recycles paper, metals, aluminum, plastic, and glass. Take the time and make some money.

You get the price of knowing you helped the economy by recycling. I don't think there is any market for selling cardboard.

Here's a site that shows what companies will pay for. Sorry. Cardboard is not on it.

spscamp=We also pay to have ours taken away. Wish it was the other way around, as it's very expensive.

15 or so years ago I took a truck load of cardboard and scrap card stock paper to a recycler place.

they weighed my truck.
I had to unload it all.
They weighed my truck again.

and they handed me about 6 bucks.

oh, well, at least I gave what I could to the recycling efforts

In my area, people only pay for scrap metal, not cardboard. Maybe in industrial, bulk loads, you can make money, but individuals bringing in their own cardboard don't make anything.

I don't know if you can get paid for recycling cardboard, but here's what you'll "get":
a) The good feeling that you did your part to help REduce, REuse, and REcycle instead of having your cardboard hauled away and buried in a landfill;
b) Contentment in knowing that you helped save a few trees so that your grandchildren and great-grandchildren might still be able to breathe fresh, clean air;
c) Knowledge that you did something charitable for others who live on this planet, and will live on this planet after you're gone;
d) A better understanding of the fragile, delicate ecological balance between all men, plants and animals so necessary for our survival on this planet.
Not everything has a price tag to it; sometimes the things you do out of love, compassion, or concern are priceless. Thank you for making your contribution to the good Earth. -RKO- 07/04/07

Re-use before recycle is better and U-Haul has a great new site where you can sell (if you can't afford to freecycle; which is so cool that they also allow).
