It depends on what you plan to do there and whether or not you are prepared. Will you and your party still be happy if it does rain? If so, then go camping by all means. If you don't want the rain and would rather not be caught in it, then don't go. Kids are the ones who end up miserable in situations like that because they can't keep out of the muddy water puddles, hate be cooped up in a tent or shelter, and make the adults pretty unhappy too.
Some things you may have planned to do could be canceled also, for instance, some of the dry lake beds that are used for riding, gliding, camping, are closed around here when it rains. There are some shrimp that thrive when the lake bed fills with water so they are protected.

I'll tell you as a person in Scouts for about 10 years it gets a lot worse than that. I'd say only call it off if you have young kids or elderly or just ask them again if they'd like to go.
Of course your gear and stuff might get wet a little bit but as long as you have a good tent with proper rain protection (a ground tarp, a rain cover and the proper stakes to hold it down) you should be OK. Make sure you also have good rain protection like a good jacket that's preferably breathable. Setting up a kind of tent would help but you can live without it for 2 nights.

I wouldn't, because I actually prefer a bit of weather to keep things interesting, and you'll see a lot less people, if that the kind of thing you like. I'd be sure to bring a poncho or waterproof breathable jacket and pants, an umbrella, good quality seam sealed tent, properly sized ground sheet, warm sleeping bag, extra socks, camp stove, and a tarp to set up over your cooking/dining area. But my main activity would be hiking, which is perfectly feasible in the rain, but if you're planning on swimming or boating it could be dangerous, and you might be bored stuck in the tent all day if you have nothing else planned.

I have had some great camping trips in the rain. If you are truly the adventurous sort, go for it. Have fun!.

Two consenting adults ;-) can have a great time camping in the rain.
If you're taking kids, wait out the weather, they'll be bored to tears.

I'd go. Here in the southeast, isolated t-storms mean no rain. It most likely won't rain, I'd go.
