Gay: How Do You KNow If You Have HIV?

I am a 22 year old gay male. I've been with 9 different guys in like 7 years, since I was 15. Out of those 9, I've bottomed three times and topped 4 other times. I have always used condoms, ALWAYS! I've never taken an HIV test cause I can't afford it and I am not out of the closet. How would I know if I have HIV or not?

I have not had gay sex in more than about 3 weeks and it was just kissing and oral.

Can you pick up HVI from just kissing and or oral? As I said, when doing anal, I am always making sure other guy has no cuts around his butt or his penis and always using condoms.

Even if you are closeted and poor, you can still get anonymous or confidential HIV testing for free. Just call your local health department, find a Planned Parenthood clinic, or look up HIV advocacy groups like AIDS Health Care Foundation (AHF). If you are a college student, college clinics usually offer free or dirt-cheap HIV tests for students.

Kissing won't transmit HIV. Oral sex could, but it's astronomically rare. Nonetheless, you can play safer by using a flavored condom during fellatio. Otherwise, it seems you're taking the right precautions during ana sex. Props to you for that!

Anal intercourse seems to be the most effective method of sexually transmitting HIV infection. This statement is true whether the sexual partners are heterosexual ("straight") or homosexual ("gay").

The receptive partner is the partner at greatest risk of catching HIV. The receptive partner is the person whose anus is being penetrated. This high risk for receptive partner exists whether the receptive partner is male or female.

Previously, it was thought that anal intercourse transmitted HIV infection because, during anal intercourse, the penis opened bleeding wounds inside the receptive partner's anus. These bleeding wounds were thought to be the doorway by which HIV directly entered the bloodstream to reach and infect T4-cells.

Now, it appears that the presence of bleeding wounds in the anus is not necessary for HIV transmission to take place. Macrophages are present, roving over the surfaces of the anus. HIV may infect these macrophages directly. Also, HIV is probably able to cross the mucous membrane and enter the tiny blood vessels inside. No damage to the wall of the anus may be necessary for HIV transmission to take place. According to a statistical study, rectal douching after anal intercourse increases the risk of HIV infection.

"Fisting" is the insertion of the fingers, or the entire hand into the anus. It might be considered a form of anal intercourse. According to a statistical study, fisting carries a slight risk for the insertive partner. There is little risk for the receptive partner.

It is normal for anyone to be tested before entering a relationship, it' doesn't mean you are gay just considerate.

If you can't afford it there should be some heath department STD clinic somewhere that will take you anyway, or maybe you could make payments.
I guess it depends on how badly you want to know.

Nine guys in seven years, Tramp.

you could have HIV. condoms are not 100 percent effective. Having oral sex is very dangerous. ou can defiantly get HIV from having oral sex. you are swaping bodily fluids. even if he does not ejaculate in your mouth there is still some pre ejaculation. Even making out and kissing. If you have a cut in your mouth or if he has a cut or sore then there is a chance you got HIV again. Whether or not you have the money you need to get tested. so you don't spread the disease.

Yes you can get it from oral. They have free clinics you can go to in every community where they will not charge you. You should have it done to make sure. You don't want to infect anyone else also. Do the grown up thing and get tested!

From kissing no. From vaginal oral or anal sex yes.

If you can't pay for the test (although it should be cheap!) donate blood. That blood will be tested. Anyway, wait 6 months from your last sex and then donate blood or take test.
