You don't have to do anything! If the party is full of one year olds they won't know what's happening anyway. But you can do homemade Dalmatian or firetruck or firehouse cookies - 1 large cookie per guest and tie them up in saran with a pretty ribbon or give each child a helium Mylar balloon with the Dalmatian theme. That's sure to amuse them for a while and more suitable to their age. Have fun, take lots of pictures and if you can be sure to take a picture of each child you can send them in your thank you card with one of those magnetic pic frames and it can be a belated favor!

Try to find little toy dalmations to give all the kids, or even little stuffed animals [dogs]. If you really can't find any then you don't have to give favors out because none of the kids will remember them, or have actually picked out the presents for your daughter.

We're doing goodie buckets for my daughter's 1st b-day party on Sat. Alot of the kids that are coming are ranging from 2-11 so I thought goodie bags were in order. They are definately NOT a have-to kinda thing though.

Noway, the kid is 1, he/she won't know a difference, a birthday party is enough of a treat for kids that age. The parents are gonna have the most fun anyway. Good luck, I hope it turns out great! :)

i wouldn't give toy favors cus the kids are so little.
maybe get dog and bone shaped cookie cutters and give each kid a bag of cookies to take home, you can paint the dogs white and put black spots on them, no need to paint the bones.
just sugar cookies or something simple to roll and bake when cut in shapes.
also see if the fire house has any mini plastic fire helmets and stickers to take home. i know our fire house does and gives them out to kids that stop by or during open houses.

I like Carebear themes. Kids love favors.

It would be a good idea to give favors, yes. How about buying spotted material and making a dog toy out of it and tape each child's name to the stuffed toy.

No, you never have to give gift bags unless you want to. besides it's for one year olds they just want to eat and play with each other. Sounds like it's going to be a cute party ! I remember when mine was one about 17 years ago !

If they are for children, nothing that can make a noise, just something small like a paper hat, and for adults, gin.
but you don't have to give them anything.

Absolutely not. One year olds won't know the difference.

Your theme is great! Have fun!
