That is a good question. It seems in today's society that if you have old fashioned values that you are closed minded and a person of prejudice. While you are not the only one left darlin, you are apparently rare. I have been looking for an old fashion lady for a long time. It seems that it is a bad thing to have " conservative values ". Although, I don't exactly subscribe to the Stepford type of values if you are referring to the book and movie, " The Stepford Wives." That was a strange book and movie.

I agree, in the new age we live in, the old fasioned traits of the boy/girl relation are changing. There are those, though, that are still in the past as to this topic. Depending on your partner, it can be good or bad as to which of these, new or old, is best. For you, you need to find someone who is old-fashioned as well, unless you want the other. It all just depends on you. I, for one, am an old fasioned guy, or like to think i am, I won't let the girl do stuff, such as paying for things, that i, as the guy, am obligated to do. Having sex after marriage, staying a virgin until marriage, is a very respectable thing. Someone who can respect that is a very worthy person. It is also traditional to say the words "i love you" after you've gotten to really know the person. It should be a good while before you do. I was stupid and said it way before i maybe should have, but the feeling was true, i wasn't sure at the time, but am now. Not everyone is perfectly traditional, but there are some wild cards out there that are pretty darn close.

Old fashioned girls are becoming rarer, I believe. Females are much more assertive nowadays and they will speak up if they disagree with a man. The "love" part still seems to apply, while the sex part does not (however strange that may be). And from my point of view, gender roles can be quite oppressing. The roles really depend on the couple and the type of relationship they have. Roles are becoming more and more commonly shared.

You are not old-fashioned. You are a nice girl. You know what is important. And to tell you the truth, i hold exactly the same thinking as you. Ppl might say you are old-fashioned as my friends say i am, but they admire our courage to say 'No' and we are firm at that.

I appreciate your point of view. Do not think you are the only one like this. There are many females (and even males) who have similar views.

it's alright to be old-fashioned. your friends and family should love you for who you are, not your fashionability. Don't worry, there will be someone like you somewhere.
