This would probably kill us off much faster than global warming would have ever had the chance to. At least people in our regions. Only a few self-reliant primitive people living in the rainforest would probably not care that much.

That will not happen as Mother nature has an automatic recycle system for fossil fuels . It may become more difficult to find it but there will never run out of oil.

If we were to ban the burning of all fossil fuels to prevent Global Warming this is essentially what we would face.

We would have to shut down our entire transportation system. There would be no more automobiles, motor scooters, motorcycles, trucks trains or planes.

We would have to stop cooking our food, heatiing our homes and heating the water that we use for bathing. We would have to learn to bathe in cold water.

We would have to shut down all of our manufacturing, steel making and cement making.

The world would become a very unpleasant place for us.

This is the reason why it is not realistic for us to believe that we can prevent Global Warming.

Global Warming is the inevitable result of human activity on this planet.

Instead we must start planning now to ameliorate the effects of Global Warming.

We need to help low lying countries with dike systems similar to those in Holland to protect them from rising sea levels.

We need to help poor countries with their disaster preparedness for hurricanes and we need to upgrade our own disaster preparedness for hurricanes.

We need to help poor countries with supplemental water supplies and desalination plants to ameliorate the effects of droughts.

We cannot prevent global Warming, but we can ameliorate much the effects of Global Warming.
