Human reason is the spark of the divine within us. It is our capacity to know the truth of things.

One thing that make us human is our ability to think our way through to convictions (or strong beliefs). So reason and faith cannot be in conflict.

+ Is reasonable faith
+ Makes sense
+ Can be proposed as reasonable to others

No. I believe your faith never forces you to do anything. Perhaps your parents' faith might. However, it is 'your' faith, so you are free to take or leave it.

My parents' faith, which I grew up strongly in, is leaving me desiring more. I have begun investigating my girlfriend's faith (Catholicism), and I am beginning to discover more and more truth in it.
