I'm not a native speaker. So I feel embarrasing when I come across the words I've never heard of.

"People often say that they're stuck in the rack race."
In this sentence I don't understand the meaning of 'rack race'.
and I'm not sure "rack race" is right expression because i dictated it after I heard a DJ in radio saying to listeners.

There are just two things that I know.
1. It is a sort of mentality
2. It sets you up to be frightened, impatient and annoyed by constantly.

From south korea

The quotation is: they're stuck in the rat race. It means that someone is chasing their goals along with everyone else who has the same goals. Another meaning is that someone is so business oriented that they have no time for anything else. People stuck in the rat race are very much single dimensional. Stay out of the "rat race."

I think the term you mean is "Rat Race".

It means going for something that is a pointless, endless pursuit, and usually is used referring to working in an office.
