I have already sent a question about my bestfriend. And now I am sending anouther concern. NOTE: This is a concern about my bestfriend, and this not one of those questions that relate to me but using 'bestfriend' referring to me.
Okie. So my bestfriend talks to me everyday. And she tells me things. One of those things are that even when she eats healthy foods she has a feeling of throwing up. It is the same with fatty food. When I mean throwing up, I mean having the feeling not forcing herself to vomit. Is this a sign of an eating disorder?

I could be a sign of an eating disorder but not necessarily. This is especially true if you live in a hot region--some people can't stomach much food in the warmer seasons. Also if she has some sort of stomach problem that could be the culprit. I feel like I am going to vomit a lot whenever I eat ever since the birth of my sons--which I had a lot of morning sickness with. Also, if she had an eating disorder before and used to vomit sometimes it takes a LONG time for the after affect of needing to purge to go away because your stomach is so used to expelling what it has eaten.

Probably not, most bulimics don't come out and tell people about their disorder, and they do all they can not to give out hints. Its more likely that the fatty foods cause her to get heartburn from how her stomach acids react, or its the pleacebo effect. A lot of people convince themselves unhealthy food will give them a stomach ache, so it does. Its actually an example of when the placebo effect is used for good. I wouldn't be to concerned until she starts eating really fast and running to the bathroom after every meal.

I dont think so. Maybe she just has digestion problems or something? She can probably go to a naturopath and they will tell you what is wrong. There a probably tablets you can take before you eat to stop you feeling sick. Nice to see you care about your bestie so much!

No usually if she was bullimic she wouldnt bring attention to that. Its COULD be a sign though, if there are any other warning signs, seek help for her.

It could be ulcers or acid reflux disease.

You didnt mention your age, she could be pregnant.

no, but she should visit the doctor as it could turn into a very serious medical problem if she does'nt seek help!
