I certainly hope so! Maybe now he won't try to get more crew members fired, like he did recently, just because he hadn't won! Of course, now you'll have to listen to him for the next few days telling the world how wonderful he is and how he deserves to win so much more than anyone else!

I never thought that he was a whinner, I just thought that he was frustrated, if it hadn't been for all of those mistakes that he made earlier in the year Denny would have won 3 or 4 races by now.

Hamlin has one man and only one man to thank for his win. Jeff Gordon could have bumped him out of the way and won the race. Hamlin did thank him for not pushing the issue. No, Hambone will continue to cry as he has done since coming to nascar. Some people have that Rusty Wallace syndrome as I like to call it, and Hamlin is one of them. These kids have made stars BY THE ANNOUNCERS LONG BEFORE THIER TIME. They need to earn some respect, before they get all the coverage they have gotten.

Hamlin has not been whining or being a sore loser. Put yourself in his shoes. He has had a lot of bad luck, and has just been stating facts. And yes he should have won at least 3 other races.
I would be voicing my opinion about these things also.

Somewhat. I believe that he will stop blaming his crew and even though it was some of their fault in earlier races because of pit road mistakes, some of it is a driver, and I know he was leading alot of laps, but you cant be that sore of a loser. You'll never get anywhere and you shoulnd't expect to win every single race during the year. No one would want to see that. I think his ego is getting a little to big, and he needs to be knocked down a few notches on his pedistol that hes on.

I just this morning watched 'Victory Lane'. Hamlin never once thanked his crew or said they did a good job, even after some serious prompting from Kenny Wallace. And this when it was good crew work, and his crew chief's decision to change only 2 tires, which set him up for the win! Not surprisingly, both Gordon and Truex managed to thank *their* crews after the race.

Hamlin can drive brilliantly, but when it comes to interpersonal relations, it's clear that he has a lot of maturing to do.

No. I'm pretty sure that's just how he is. He may be able to win races and achieve top finishes, providing he has what he believes to be an acceptable crew, but he's sorely lacking on the personality side. I highly doubt a victory will change this. Personally, I'd rather hear Matt Kenseth complain about a second place finish than hear Denny Hamlin say anything at all.

He acts like any other driver that has problems.
Sit back and watch his style. He is very close to another driver that people accuse of being a whinner.
The th9ing is people do not like to see a "new" driver come along that has talent since it could threaten there favorite.
Good win,congrats.

Only till next week. Totally agree with Lilliesweet. I thought I was the only one calling it the Rusty Wallace syndrome too...:)
And to PapaBill. I know what your saying but the difference is he always blamed outside sources (like his crew). He never blamed himself, he never even said that maybe his car wasnt as good at the end of the race as it was earlier. Everyone knows that at different times in the race, the handling sometimes just goes away.

I think he just fealt spoiled last year since he won at pocono twice and other races last year. He wants his year to be like last year. But as of saturday he was 2nd in the Nextel Cup Standing because I found out on nascar.com
