The United States Of America is well known to interfere with other countries domestic affairs etc. I like to know who think it is necessary to protect Americans or Americans' interest, trying to stay ahead in cultural and economic supremacy or any other reasons. please note that i am neutral and just trying to analyze the situation. You opinion needed. thanks

The foreign policy of the United States is only good for their interests and tends to be unfavorable to other countries. Look at Iraq, US invaded it in order to control its oil industry.

America used to be a great place to go. I am an American and do not agree with what is being done now by our politicians. I think we should all take a look at the world as a whole. We only have one world to live on and we need to try to do it peacefully. We should be sticking together as people because we are not the ones making the bad decisions. As people we might elect but the choices are slim at this point the people in office are not doing what we have asked. I think that the United States is not doing whats right by the people or with other countries.

Well, it's well past time the US foreign policy actually represented the interests of the US people and the interests of the people of our allies.

The Neocon movement in our government is a perfect example of where we have gone so horribly wrong, the group freely admit to being "not big believers in equality" and feeling that the "enlightenment was a disaster".

Well, I'm sorry to say but our Republic was founded on enlightenment principles, that I do believe it says ALL MEN WERE CREATED EQUAL, somewhere in the constitution. Even if that statement only refered to white men and not blacks or women at the time,

Take Israel, as a case in point, the United States could compell through a combination of carrots and sticks, the Palestinians and Israelis and Syrians to the negotiating table, so that in 50 years driving through Palestinian and Israel states would be like driving from Connecticut to Rhode Island, or France into Germany. Perhaps there's a small toll bridge, and a change in the road authority from state to state but it's not terribly noticable.

The problem is the US has pumped billions of dollars every year into Israeli society and now we have a tiny ally who's all pumped up and militaristic - with an assembly containintg members espousing such impractical aims as virtually assures there cannot be a settlement of the various issues. Its like giving a little guy all the steroids he wants. It sounds like a good idea but after a while, the steroid addled little guy is just pushing the other little guys around and suffers from bouts of 'roid rage.

Worse, is that we are in a silent (or not so silent) proxy war with Saudi Arabia and Iran who take our oil funds and directly support the surrounding little guy states, Syria and to a lesser extent elements of the Lebanese population (Hamas,Hezzbollah), which has causes death and destruction overall.

The simplest way out is through negotiated settlements with all parties concerned. That includes Hamas and Hezzbollah, and Jordan and Egypt and the Palestinians (Both factions) and even other interested great powers , such as Russia, China, and the other regional powers, Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

But we have the Neocons who view diplomacy and anything other than scratching some genocidal itch towards the Arab world, as being weak-minded Chamberlain-like appeasment.

I say that diplomacy is the real route to peace, and the really courageous thing. Just so long as we have a brain-donor for a president and a Dark Lord of the Sith for vice-president, we shouldn't expect too much.

So my hope for US foreign policy in the next year and 1/2 is that we don't destroy Tehran with nuclear weapons "by accident" or something.

No, I don't think so. I personally think we should take a more neutral stance, not isolationist, neutral. When our government says that they're worried about American's interest, what they really mean is THEIR interest. Americans have been badly forgotten and the politicians are to blame. Government officials think that running a country is like running a business. For example, the CIA is so screwed up: they were able to stop Communism abroad but not able to stop the terrorists on 9/11. I just don't know what to believe in any more. Thanks!

The present policy of the USA is not good for the world and also not good for Americans?

For me the best policy for any countries in general is the policy of "making friends and aviod creating unnecessary enemies". If you try to make as many friends with other countries, the countries will become your allies and will try to help you even if you don't ask for their help.

But if a country tries to use its power and force other countries to submit to its own rules and cultures with a policy of "either you are with me or you don't", that particular country will always have enemies and will never feel safe. The enemies of the particular country will become larger and larger (its enemies will not just be another country or government, but other groups and individuals will also have hatred towards that country and become its enemy).

So, it will become a never ending story.

The best policy is, "lets talk and become friend"

No - it is not in the best interest to think that we can dictate other countries' ideals and ideas. We are only looking at the interest of individual citizens and not the future of the country. We are no longer the strongest or richest country in the world. We do have a voice in the direction of the world but do not have the ability to dictate the worlds direction.

American foreign policy is dictated by the state of Israel. That is why it is dangerous for Americans, since it plays favoritism for once country with nothing in return for US.

Wake Up America!

You asked this question before.

I showed you how you were wrong, you email with some pathetic attempt to show me up, with an example from 60 years ago, then you post the same exact question without any examples of "domestic interference"

And you sir most definitely have a political agenda.... Or you would not have emailed me when I disagreed with you.

Neither is it good for the world nor is it for the Americans.

Its not good for the world as US's interference has led them to have more enemies than friends in the world today.

Its not good for the Americans as the precious tax payers' money is wasted for stupid purposes, needless wars and lots lots more
