Yo tuve on sueno bien malo

A "son" is a type of music (kind of cuban or caribbean, you can dance to it), in the song it means "the spirit of music" as a metaphor.
So the "evil eye" or "mal viento" comes and takes the girl and his music. so he is looking for his song, or his spirit or in other words, his reason to live (because he is a singer).

Hope this helps.

My Spanish is pretty rusty, but here's the beginning. Maybe someone will improve on this.

Yo tuve on sueno bien malo
I had a bad dream
Yo andaba bien con mi son
I was walking with my son
And an evil wind came and left me without my son
Y cuando habia despertado
And when I had woken up
Senti un gran apagon
I felt an emptiness (? not sure about apagon)

Note: What oh cielo says below makes sense. I couldn't figure it out.
