She should already be submitting the paperwork for a pregnancy discharge, if that's the decision that y'all have come to. Also, being a supply clerk, she probably won't be in any immediate danger, so you should stop worrying as much about that. Contact her unit's FRG (Family Readiness Group), too, if she does deploy. They can help you out with the baby, and it's also a great support network.
IF (and it's a very small if) something untoward were to happen, you'd get somewhere around $500K, if you are listed as the beneficiary on her insurance. If you're living on-post, you would have to move out at some point, but they'll work with you on exact dates and everything.
The important thing is not to stress over it, bro. Also, be sensitive to the information that you put out on the internet. Times, dates, locations, etc. We don't need to know where she's stationed or what her job is. :)

You would get up to $450,000 in life insurance, all her remaining pay and entitlements, as well as receive her effects. You would be allowed to remain on Ft. Drum for a certain amount of time then you would be required to move off post. But to be honest with you, I doubt she faces much danger as a female supply clerk.
BTW, how can you be 11 months pregnant? It only takes 9 months.
Just do what your wife wants to do which is get out, save her unit the headache of dealing with her down range. Thanks, one less body for the mission.

There is *nothing* wrong with getting out to care for baby... *as long as* she's finished her time. It will be hard, very hard on you, but think how much harder on her it will be... to miss that first incredible year...
If her time is short, support your wife in whatever decision she makes. If she still has awhile to go, just hang in there. A deployment is not synonymous with death, but if the worst should happen, you'll not be left in the cold.

you will be allowed to stay in military housing for up to I believe 6 months afterwards, but then you would have to leave. in the meantime, you will be assigned a case worker who is there to make sure you and your children get everything they are entitled to.. your children, for instance, would be entitled to retain Tricare until they reach their majority.
she already has the Servicemembers Life Insurance policy, but you need to consider taking out additional insurnace.. for BOTH of you.

This is the second question youve posted about this. Why are you jumping to conclusions about your wife dying in Iraq? After she has the baby she will get time off for her baby. Come on dude I know your stressed but Is it you that wants her to get out or is it mutual.
Your wife is not dead yet and stop acting like she is or that she will die. Spouses that are woman deal with situations like this everyday when thier loved one gets deployed calm down.
Thanks jackrabbit for not getting out! I cant stand woman who use pregnancy as an excuse to get out. Maybe things like that should have been thought about prior to enlisting ya know.
Wait i just noticed its the 3rd question. SHE JUST FRIGGIN JOINED FOR S H I T sake. Maybe you should have thought about this before huh. And you want her out already !! calm down man
