Yes. The Episcopal Church, Unitarian Universalists, Metropolitan Community Churches, Unity, and other denominations are gay-friendly.

True believing christians are to accept the sinner not the sins of others as acceptable ....Jesus is suppose to be our example of how we should treat others. We are all sinners of different sins, for we are all human..... Christians are suppose to be in the world not of the world. I am friends with gay people but don't accept their lifestyle as my own. I know a few gay people that are decent people that add to society. I as a christian, am not to judge but also know that I'm not be a part of something that I feel is against what God teaches, any kind of sin. Therefore I'm not perfect because I'm a sinner also in different ways in my life.

Absolutely. The Disciples of Christ are okay with it, and even permit gay ministers. The Unitarian Universalists are also okay with it. I know the UU church in my town holds weekly meetings for single gays to hang out and talk, and there is even a gay teen's coffee house there. I'm not a religious person, and consider myself an agnostic, but I sometimes go to the UU church because you will find all kinds of people there, from atheists to buddhists to rastafarians. They accept everybody, and teach of love, compassion, and understanding. I could get on board with religion if they all worked like this.

TRUE Christianity accepts gay people, but DOESN'T accept the homosexual lifestyle. We are to love the sinner but hate the sin they commit and try to show them why it's wrong without offending them or selling God short! Talk about a tough job!

Christians who follow Jesus and strive to be like him accept gay people, yes. The best will not try to change them. But, Christians who believe the Bible (most often) will not accept the act of homosexuality (just as they won't accept thoughts of lust, you know? It's all sin.) To sum up, the people will be accepted, just not practicing gays.

Not the answer you were looking for, I know.

Yes, but they are the kind that dont accept the Bible. I think methodists and some other very liberal forms of Christianity. The problem is that without the authority of the Bible Christianity is worthless. You can be a member of a religion, but you will not be a Christian without faith in Gods word. Most of them accept gay people and will attempt to love them enough to tell them that there is a better way.

No truly Christian congregation will accept a 'practicing' gay into their rolls. A person who has 'gay' tendencies' but is not acting on them is no different then a heterosexual who has tendencies to fornication but is not acting on them. So they would or should be acceptable to any congregation.

wow, i didn't know that Mormon and JW did. Incidentally Islam, Buddhist, Hinduism and Judaism officially don't accept it either. I guess most religions still haven't come into the 21st century.
