I think I remember hearing that it's not only a sin, but that is a way someone can steal your soul or something.

And if you're going to answer this, please put your thoughts and opinions into it and not just a one word answer.

If your fortune is ALREADY TOLD, then what role does God have to play in your life?

You want God to change your life for the better if its bad and turn God into your servant? Or you want God to keep away if your life is good?

Whichever you look at it, its bad.

I have this advice for you.

If its good, why know it prematurely and steal the joy from the blessing? If its bad, why know it prematurely and worry before the time comes?

Fortune Telling is SIN. A christian relies on God. Let God lead.

I know the Bible says, "Suffer not a witch to live." I also know the Bible was severely edited. Some was added, switched around, and some thrown out. Some of it has just been found and linguists have been working on translating it.
I am very psychic. It is not something I knowingly asked for. It comes from God and through my spirit or soul. If you have a soul, you are a little psychic. Everyone is therefore a little bit psychic. I have asked God to only give me information that was helpful, and hopeful. Whenever I do a reading, I don't really like to, that part of me is absolutely right every time, all the time. And what would I do with your soul????? I'm having enough trouble with mine!!!!!!!
So, no, not a sin, the speech from a soul/God.

Blessed Be

It's not necessarily a sin, It is a danger. You are inviting spirits into your life and there is no way of telling if these spirits are good or evil.

Read in the Book of Thessalonians about King Saul and his visit to an oracle......Bad JU JU!

Trust God for guidance, you don't want your fortune told, because the Bible says that people do have these abilities, and a True Clarivoiant, Oracle or Fortune Teller is duty bound to tell you the Bad as well as the Good.

When you mess with Evil.......You can become Evil yourself, you can open yourself to possession, and the Holy Bible is full of proof of people being possessed!

No, its not true, that is not a sin. No one can steal your soul or something just from telling your fortune. Now if they try to drug you and tie you down, make you drink blood.... well that's another story, then that person may be trying to steal your soul.
I know many 'fortune tellers' they have no interest in stealing any ones soul.

I'm an atheist so naturally I couldn't possibly think that it would be a sin. However, having your fortune told is not any more reliable than reading your horoscope in the local newspaper. Anything spiritual (or astrological, for that matter) cannot be trusted as fact.

It is a sin. God warns against wizardry and black magic. Mindreaders and psychics are all the same works of Satan. It is as if you are putting your faith in their hands and alter you life to fulfil their prophecies. Whateva they predict the devil can allow happen, therefore strenghtening your faith in thier predictions. They can't steal your soul. This reminds of the Shakespeare play Macbeth. Macbeth went to see the witches and they told him his fortune. All they said came true and he repeatedly went to see them. This ultimately led to his demise in the end which, even as a work of fiction, should say something to you.

I don't know what religion you follow but in my religion (Islam) it is a sin to have your fortune told. A person who has had their fortune told will not have their prayers are not accepted for 40 days.

If it isn't a sin, it's a very grave mistake, if you believe in it! If you don't believe in it, you're throwing your money away - kind of like playing the lottery!
