Yes. Introducing chemicals to your hair will kill off some of the roots and damage the quality of the hair. Condition the heck out of it and try not to use curling irons or straighteners for awhile. No blowdrying either. Condition and use a bit of hair oil on the roots if you have any. Chemicals also kill off brain cells. Sadly.. there's nothing that can be done for that. You'll be fine. Just don't highlight it very often.

If Your Hair Is In Good Condition And You Don't Go Too Light (Heavy) With The Highlights, Your Hair Should Be Fine. ANY PROCESS That Changes The Color, Texture Or Form (Curly Or Straight) Does SOME Damage To The Hair. If Properly Done, The Damage Is Minimal And Can Often Be Corrected By Conditioning. Good-Luck!!

Highlighting Your Hair

I believe if you go to a professional, you will not incur any damage as they use very good products. I'm not talking about a place that hires just out of school kids, go to a reputable salon, it might cost a little more, but it is very much worth it. Please don't use any of the over the counter products for highlighting or you will damage your hair. Good luck, highlights done professionally are very attractive.

with my experience it did damaged only the highlighted parts. if you do get highlights i suggest no other chemicals should be added to the hair before highlights. if decided to get them wait at least 6 weeks to retouch or add any chemicals to hair, keep your hair moisterized at all times and dont brush or comb through hair while it is wet

It does cause slight damage to your hair. For your first time however, it shouldnt cause you too much damage. Just make sure to use a good shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair, to help keep the color and keep it moisurized because it does dry the hair out.

Repeated coloring causes further damage such as breakage, split ends etc, but you should be fine as long as you take care of it.

Yes it does. It uses chemicals. But some people are lucky, they're hair seems fine and normal after being permed or colored. I'm sure it wil lbe fine, all you do is ask your hair stylist to examine your hair if its alright to highlight.

sure it injury your hair because it fairly is with the others hair colors. after highlighting , you will desire to shade once you notice your root. the superb shade to placed on dark auburn hair would be a mild grimy blonde. spotlight maintains to be contained in the hair comparable to in case you shade the finished head, and in case you opt for for the colour to stay longer and look shiner then try the pantene professional v shampoo and conditioner.

i started dying my hair since i was like 13. it`s not that ahrmful as long as you do it professionally and use really great products like tigi bedhead. even though it`s more pricey. and lol think about it, if you don`t do it now, while your hair can still grow back shiny and new, you`ll regret it when you`re so old, your hair is falling out instead of growing back in. That`s thge reason i used to convince my parents

it will chemically damage the hair, but it will heal itself when new hair grows in.
