Does anyone know where the factory keypad code is "hidden" in a 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bower. I've seen a bunch of posts for earlier models but those answers don't apply to the new body style. Thanks!

The remote keyless entry functions on a 2006 Explorer are added in to a multifunction module called the smart junction box, this box is buried inside the drivers kick panel and is hard to get access to. The best solution for you is to find your local Ford dealer and have them retrieve the code using their IDS computer, this only take a couple of minutes so don't let them gouge you too bad. I agree with bikertrash once again 100%. On most of the newer Ford products, they now integrate most of the vehicle's body functions into what they call a smart junction box, which incorporates the main fuse panel into a module. Unfortunately, you will not find a label with the keypad code on this particular vehicle as you would on other Ford products.

To set your own personal code, you have to have the factory code and it's not changeable...you can find it on the door lock module in the left rear jack compartment behind the water reservoir...but in 03 they quit doing that, so you have to go to the dealer and have him download it out of your truck..
