Global Warming is indeed cyclic. In fact, global temperatures fell from 1945 to 1970. You can even find articles trumpeting the perils of man made Global Cooling.

The Romans were growing grapes in 11th century England. So while the last six years were the hottest this century, they were not the hottest this millennium.

The real 'Inconvenient Truth' is that even if our fossil fuel use IS raising the temperature .1 degrees per decade, we're suppose to be almost out of oil in 50 years, so the whole 'Global Warming' panic attack is about half a degree.

Scientific info below, but first.... Do these guys get their information from the liberal media?

"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives Tuesday to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) “It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”

Yes, there have been natural climate changes before, mostly due to the Sun. But the data clearly shows that, starting about 40 years ago, man's contribution overwhelmed the natural forces that controlled climate before.

This is a nice picture, includes the effect of the Sun, and there are many more scientific studies showing the same thing.

None of the other explanations works nearly as well. The scientific equations don't work for them. The numbers come out wrong. Most questions are answered here:

Yes, global warming is cyclical, as you can see from ice core samples:

But that doesn't mean that humans don't have an effect on global warming. Global warming has been accelerating over the past several decades, and natural causes or cycles can't account for that acceleration:

The only way scientists can account for the increased warming is if greenhouse gases account for 70-95% of it:
