My 4 yr old kid is studying in CBSE school where they have are following the script writing....

Script is writing where all the letters in a word are linked, where you go from one letter to another without lifting the pen.

I know this because I do engraving for a living. But it is a completely trivial distinction. Most people use the terms interchangeably.

cursive writing
Also called "script," a form of handwriting in which each letter of a word is connected to another letter. Contrast with "block lettering" or "printing," in which the individual letters do not touch.
