People pass judgement on others when they believe or are taught to believe that their way in the ONLY way. That is where the judgemental mentality begins. Most of these judgemental people really believe they are helping others to come to the "truth". And most of them are basically good people--so I tend to forgive them and just go on about my business. And, yes, our relationship with Diety is a very personal and intimate experience. Blessings.

Someone 'can.' It's always possible.
So the correct question would be, 'how dare they,' or 'why do they,' or 'in what manner do they go about doing it.'
A personal relationship with God bears fruit. Some fruit is 'fake,' if you want to put it that way, others are not. No one can ever know for sure, but we can make educated guesses.
One's judgment on another about a personal relationship with God should never be taken as fact - it is an educated guess, but there are many more variables that can never be pinned down completely. However it is based on evidence in the first place, and thereby it has a chance of being correct.
So passing a judgment on another is possible, and people do it, but it should be taken more as a warning or suggestion than a solid, 100 percent evaluation.

You are right no one has that right but Almighty God.
News flashhhhhhhhh!!!
But human nature being what is has become is now a knee-jerk instantaneous judgment call on anyone and everyone.
Check out the TV, check out magazines, newspapers, the forums...from the next door neighbor to Paris Hilton to the rain forests and the famine in Dafar...nothing is sacred or private....they judge instantly...facts or not facts...proof or no proof.
And from media talking heads the more personal and/or intimate the more they drool and knock each other down to be the first to pollute the air waves with supposition and conjecture.

What do you mean by "judgment?"
When a doctor looks at a patient, or when a man looks at a woman, he "judges" whether he is sick, or pretending, or whether he wants to seek further contact with her, respectively. "Judgment" is defined differently by different people.
Judgment as in court is a different matter altogether.
You can "tell by their fruits," whether this person is a bad tree, or weed. You have to be discriminating to tell whether someone is friend material. It is a matter of survival esp. now-a-days, altho it is politically incorrect.
The lack thereof, has burned more than one person, badly!
Keeping an open mind is good, as it may be that your own judgment may be biased, which is usually the case, unless you are the 'perfect' type;)

We are not the judge though it's humanly impossible not to have opinions. When a person says he/she loves God, but you see little evidence of it through obedience as specified in the Bible you can't help but wonder. It says that we can be known by our 'fruits'. What do we do for God? But only He who is perfect has the authority to judge. But we have to be discerning in order to pick our friends and avoid certain others. Read Matthew 7th Chapter, it tells more about judging and Galatians 5th Chapter, Vs.16-26 tells you what the 'fruit of the flesh' and 'fruit of the Spirit' are.

Jesus said, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener, you are the branches. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while ever branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." John 15:1,2; Jesus also said, "Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." Matt. 7:20.
Maybe Christians aren't supposed to judge lest they be judged likewise; but we *are* supposed to be fruit inspectors!

Because when their "personal relationship with the divine" interferes with the politics that affect the entire country, then we can pass judgment.

We shouldn't judge others but being human we have an automatic tic when it comes to adultery, fornication, or drugs sometimes. No one is perfect and we have to remember that.
Jesus is going to judge us one day soon, I want to be with Jesus for eternity.
