How would you react if you saw a person yelling at the top of his lungs that Gods do not exist? I constantly see Christian preachers in the streets of Big cities yelling out bible verses. What kind of reaction do you think an Atheist would get if they did the same thing but with a reverse message?

I don't know... Perhaps it ought to be tried.

It wouldn't hurt to read a list of quotations, the opinions of respected and honored people whose atheistic views have not been commonly known. An exercise of this type might draw enough attention among everyday folks to open their minds to reason and the honest facts of reality.

POST SCRIPT: In rebuttal to an opinion given above..."An Atheist shouldn't care what other people think." I'm an atheist and I care. I'd like to see a wiser, safer world that's been cured of its god-belief illnesses.

Well the message is supposed to be like the words in a song, "love is the answer." It seems it's OK to preach hate is the answer. How many times have I heard, "Turn Afghanistan into a parking lot"? It seems like the real messages have been lost somewhere. Why is everything anti-something. The answers are the answer, namely that we have to work together to change the world, not kill each other. I don't get the logic. Fighting about words instead of working on solutions is the problem. We always end up dead right, somehow. Prove your right by your works. Atheists and Christians seem to be all about hate and ridicule to me.

If society is really as tolerant of other peoples' beliefs as they claim to be, the atheist preacher would hopefully be getting as negative a reaction as the Christian street preacher would probably recieve.

It reminds me of this verse Matt. 6: 7 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. The spirit just isn't there when people are loud or bringing contention. 2 Timothy 2 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Talk is cheap. Yelling out bible verses without context, yields nothing.

Jesus asked his disciples to teach (not yell at) all nations.

What have you learn from the person who yells bible verses? So far nothing.

My message would be simple, and you can find it in the New Covenant (Testament). You can read it in a quiet place. You can believe it or not. If you believe it, you are a Christian; if not, you are an atheist. Either way, my teaching is done.

Let us know if you ever find an atheist preaching so we can jam his foot in his mouth (assuming it's a male... with the necessary limbs to do said jamming). By the way, I'm not saying this because I'm a Christian (or because I'm not one), I'm saying this because the thought of an atheist preacher makes me want to jam a persons foot in that person's mouth (I just can't really imagine an atheist preacher, it seems backwards)

I talked to an evangelical atheist in a chat once.

it was actually rather amusing.
they argued the exact same thing, just with dis-belief in any deity instead of affirmatively beliving.

You would be seen as "attacking" religion, and used by those same preachers as proof that they are correct to keep you from having the same voice that they enjoy.

I doubt they were yelling in peoples ears they were probably trying to say it loud enough for a crowd of people to listen. It would be foolish of anyone to get a message across speaking in a regular tone. The word of God will be spoken of in many nations and streets, maybe you should listen to it for once.

Nice question! But christians never see it that way. It's only their way that they see. But I do also see charter buses that park and does the same thing. But I think its good that Atheist don't do that stuff like that. We don't need to prove anything. These christians are all in denial and have nothing else better to do. I dont understand what they are tying to prove, I mean what they read is crap from a fairty tale book. They can't prove anything!!
