how do i KNOW that God does or doesnt exist?

ppl have told me to read the bible before or "yes he does exist" or the opposite. but how do i know they aint lyin?

It is all about faith. I know that I have prayed about things, and my prayers were answered. I have needed strength and guidance many times, my prayers were answered. It is just a matter of having the belief, and feeling what is within you. Sometimes when things that are bad happen, there comes something better to replace it. Usually that is when you question God's existence. But low and behold he give us, not necessarily what we wanted, but what we needed. Each experience that he allows us to be put through brings lessons in courage and strength to handle those things that will challenge us the most in our future.
I hope that I have helped. Reading the Bible sometimes helps me to understand.

Honestly, no one's going to give you a 100% straight answer on this subject. Its because they can't prove it either way 100%. Not even 60%. You need to read, talk to people, parents, pastors, scientists, whatever and make up your mind. Don't believe anything because othere people tell you, because even though they mean well, they could be totally wrong.
There either is a god or there isn't. I believe there is a god because that's what I've been brought up to think, and I haven't found any reason to completely disbelieve it. I am however always interested in anything and everything that might shed some light on the age old question.
Sorry to say it, but if you're looking for proof, you'll never get it. Unless of course god reveils himself to you. In that case consider yourself lucky (or unlucky considering. . .).
Go with what your gut tells you, and don't get all worked up about it. If god is real, and you truely want to know him if he is, then you will find him. And if you don't then you haven't wasted all kinds of time worrying about it.
Everyone else here is going to give you a yes or no answer, or tell you to listen to human reason, or tell you that your feelings will lead you to the truth (kinda like I did), or tell you that you need to make judgements based on your experiences, but the truth is that all these things are fallable, humans are fallable, its a fact!
I do know one thing though, the teachings in the bible will make you a better person and will change the world around you if you follow them. Wether or not god truely exists.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Think about it the holy bible explains why things are the way they are in the world today and is the first religion. Try God and give him a sincere chance to prove his existance in your life for your understanding. We cant see air but we breathe. The bible also talks about people worshiping false Gods.

If you are questioning your faith, then you must look deep down within yourself and see how you feel. Think about your life and remember all of those significant moments. Did it seem as if someone was influencing the events somehow? If so, then that means you sensed God. I believe that God exists, but that each person's ability to recognize or sense Him varies to certain degrees.

I would recomend going to church and reading the scriptures and spending alot of time reading and praying over what you have just read and ponder the storys and verses and when you pray sit still for a while and listen for the answer to come to you...and in time it will and you will know that God does exist but don't be impatiant....

There is really no way to prove it. Read not just about religions but read about science cosmology. Look up the Cosmos series on Google video and give it a look. Then from there just sit back and think.

that would be what faith is all about....you do or you don't...I personally believe, I make all the effort to live right and I have been very blessed because of it..however, I am not perfect for I am only human, and I've known better than to do certain things and I realize things will go wrong as a result...why? because a God exist...for me he does...I put my faith in somene I believe is higher than myself.

Only you can answer this question for yourself. No matter what anyone else may say, it is up to you to decide for yourself. Take a good look inside yourself, then take a good look at the world around you. He is there. All you need to do is look for Him.

If you are confused about your religion, read some books about different religions and see what seems to make sense to you and what you see as the truth.
