If you were a parent you wouldn't ask this question. A parent pours all their life into their children. We set aside everything for a child. We love and adore them. They are always the best, the brightest, the most handsome or beautiful of any one's children and we wonder why others can't see it.
I love my parents, but by comparison there is no comparison and they understand that. They love the love I have for my child and love me for it.

Well I don't have any children yet. But when it comes to my mom, brother and husband, I can't say I love either over the other. I love them all equally but in very different ways. i love my mom because she is my mother and gave me life, love and support and everything I am. I love my brother for being my friend and my support when I was younger and I love my husband because he is what completes me, he is my everything. I think the same goes for children. You can't love one over the other, you just love them for different reasons and a different sort of love.

Children because they gave birth to them. The kids are sorta part of them. On the other hand, they were sorta forced to their parents. They really didn't have a choice as to which parents they had. But under most circumstances, people choose to have kids.

I think that if you have good parents than you love them equally but differently.
I also think that in a life or death situation you save your children, spouse and then parents. Your parents would be trying to save your children and spouse right along with you.

studies show that it is harder to lose a mate than it is a child. that said , to lose either will be a life changing event. how does one cope with the loss of a child or the mate that helped create a life. i hope and pray i never know such pain.

I think people love their children more, but I guess it's individualized. My husband loves his parents, I think, just as much as he loves our kids.
