Yes it does, and once your pores have been opened up- now is the perfect time to apply any acne creams, toners, etc. that you use!
Just first realize that it takes about 20 minutes for a steam facial to open up all the pores on your face, so you may want to try sitting in a hot tub or standing in a hot shower for 20 minutes rather than standing with for face in a bowl of hot water because...well, that can get pretty boring...

Well it doesn't get rid of pimples it just opens the pores. After the pores you should exfoliate. Very lightly though because your skin is really sensitive because the pores are open. Taking a shower or holding a hot washcloth will help open pores. But don't do a facial peel. First you shouldn't do facial peels like more than once a month because it could peel off your whole entire layer! You won't really notice it though because its so thin. But while the pores are so open the peel does alot of damage sometimes if you tend to have delicate and sensitive skin!

Putting your face over steaming water really will help to open your pores (like a sauna)--just hang over steaming water for five minutes or so, and they'll be open.
Now, getting rid of pimples - you'll have to wash your face while pores are open. Just putting your face over steaming water won't clean our your pores for you, although it's certainly better than not doing so.
After you rinse your face off, make sure you moisturize immediately so you lock it in. That's why it's always recommended to moisturize after showering, because that's the perfect time--when your pores are open.

When the steam hits your face it opens up your pores but, this takes a while. Take a towel and cover your head with it as you stick your face into either a bucket filled with hot steaming water, a tea pot ready to boil or the sink in hot water,. Anyway do this but wash your face first then, when you have steamed it pick at it with one of those tools that helps remove pimples. It has a loop at both ends of it, you can find it at target sometimes I think. But do this and a mask and it WILL work! good luck!

Yes, it does help w/ pimples. Before you do this step though, you must wash your face throughly of all the makeup, oil, and bacteria off your skin. So then, when your pores open because of the steam, they will not be coming in contact w/ more dirt and oil. After you do this though, wash your face again, this time with Neutrogena blackhead and acne removing wash, they have little cleaning balls. You shoud clearly see them through the bottle. Then after you wash it off, put your face on the steam again and then wash it one last time. Finish with toner and a moistorising cream (light, not heavy, because a heave cream will make more pimples appear)

Yes it does. Do it once a week for about ten minutes then put a really cold wash cloth on your face straight after to close the pores back up again

Pores don't open or close, but steaming helps clear them of any clogged debris or oil, promotes circulation and helps the body expel toxins through the skin.

It opens your pores up. It's true! You should apply a mask after you do this step. Be sure to wash your face before you do this though.
