how much do they cost?

It depends on what your insurance covers, at least in my case. Mine only cost me 15 bucks per visit. However without insurance, I suppose it would be quite a bit more.

I had help from my local health department after i had each of my sons. I had to have a nurse come over, and she also was the area nutritionist. It was free for me. Go down to your local health department or something compatable, explain that you want to eat healthy foods, but you need help and some guidelines to follow. They should be able to have you talk to someone or at least give you a menu to follow. Think of it this way, if you do ask, the worst thing they could say is no, but more often than not, they'll help you any way possible. Give it a shot, that's what they're there for. It may cost you, but these types of organizations usually go on a sliding scale or just by donations.
