A medical exam is required and a blood test is involved to see if you are HIV positive or using any illegal drugs. You also get tested for tuberculosis. No, an CAT scan nor an x-ray is involved in this medical exam.

They will give you a blood test for a couple of things, then a TB test. If you fail the TB test, then you get a chest x-ray. It's pretty straightforward. Hope you don't mind needles!

Congrats on the marriage. Contact your local (Mexico side) Immigration Office--they'll be amazed you even bothered to check with them and wonder "what's wrong with this guy???"

But they'll have the requirements you must fufill. Bone up on your American History, too.....I hear the test is a doozy.
