Right after you go swimming, rinse her hair out immediatly with water so the chlorine won't penetrate her hair. Then apply a good leave in conditioner. Then, later on, when you decide to give her a bath, I that know loreal makes a good smelling tear free 2-in-1 for kids that is especially for swimming called swim and sport shampoo. Before going swimming, wet her hair down and put a moisturizing conditioner in it (a kids' brand that won't hurt if it gets in the eyes would be best, just in case...), brush it through, put her hair in a pony tail, if it's long enough, and let her swim. When you get home, rinse her hair, put shampoo in, let it lather up good, brush it through (it feels good, and helps get the shampoo to the scalp, and clean the hair), rinse it out. Then put a TINY bit of conditioner in... start at the tips, then brush it through. If the top of her head feels dry, add a little more, and brush again. Let it sit while you finish bathing her. (I put a shower cap on my three year old when I use conditioner on him-poor guy ;o] ) after 2-5 minutes, rinse it out (or when she's done playing in the bathtub, and it's time to get out...) The longer it stays in, the more it's absorbed by the hair, and I think it's easier to get out. I hope that helped, even though, in type it's kinda long!

Besides a swim cap, rinse your daughter's hair w/ tap water & apply a tiny bit of conditioner. Her hair will absorb the tap water which is less damaging than chlorinated pool water & the conditioner will help protect it even more.
Rinse & wash her hair as soon as possible.
BTW, a very tiny drip of jojoba oil run through the hair makes a good, natural leave in conditioner. It's non-comedogenic and washes out easily. Jojoba oil is the closest thing to the oil our skin produces.

I don't go swimming often, nor do I have children, but whenever I do go to the beach or pool I always bring a little spray bottle of that Biolage leave-in treatment....its like a conditioner and repairs the damaged hair, and also gets out tangles really easily.

try limiting your visits to the pool from everyday to at least 2-3 times per week or 2-3 times every two weeks. that way, your daughter's hair won't dry out too often. and ask about which hair products you can use for her when you're at the pharmacy. a nice sealing and hydrating hair mask (as in a type of lotion you put in the scalp to prevent it from drying out when you're in the pool) should be able to do the trick. i think something like herbal essences or other fancy hair products would be a bit of help for you.

Get her hair wet with clear water before she's gets it wet in the pool. That way the hair soaks up the clear water first and doesn't soak up so much chlorinated water. Also I myself put cream rinse in my hair and then a swim cap and then go swimming. The cream rinse protects my hair from soaking up all that chlorine.

You should wash her hair after swimming so that the chlorine doesn't cling to her hair. Also, a little swimming cap may help.

herbal essences hello hydration, it works really well, and keeps ur hair hydrated! just make sure to use it everyday, cuz if u go swimming everyday, then the chlorine will still dry out the hair even when if u washed ur hair the day before so use everyday after swimming. :)

after your done at the pool, wash her hair (no-tear baby shampoo is fine), and either get some leave in conditioner and use it or put a small amount of regular conditioner in her hair and dont rinse it out...that should help

Wet her hair and put a little leave-in conditioner in it before she gets in the pool. That will keep it from drying out badly. (my boyfriend is a lifeguard and recently asked his hairstylist the same question :) )
