How in the hell are you going to have a democracy if you exclude the religious sector? So, your definition of democracy is based on excluding everyone you deem not important, or who's views differ from yours? That's just freakish. Personally, I think everything would work better if people who couldn't entertain a thought of their own couldn't vote.

Oh, good grief......
So, you are going to take away the voting rights of people who don't agree with you. It's not a kingdom -- and even if it were, you're not the queen.
Also, it's not a democracy. It's a republic. Say the pledge of allegiance right now.
A republic is a country where the constitution is the guide for all laws and regulations. Does it say anywhere in the constitution that YOU have the right to take away voting rights based on a person's belief in the Bible?

Maybe we should regulate voting on your skin color.
Or how about your height or weight.
Look up the word democracy it means government run by the people. If you let some citizens vote and not others that is apartheid not democracy.
I am in no way a biblical litteralist, but I am disgusted that someone would suggest that they should not be allowed to vote because they hold a particular view.

Not in the United States, first because the United States is not now and never has been a Democracy, it is and always has been a Republic.
When you become dictator of whatever fantasy world you live in then perhaps you can strips people's rights away because of their religion, until then let me thank you for taking time out of your busy day to prove your ignorance to the masses.

No. Because then you would be excluding and denying a certain group a right guaranteed by the constitution. And that is not democracy. Beside the U.S. is a Republic not a democracy.
Remember the pedge of allegience it says and to the republic for which it stands not and to the democracy for which it stands.

Hmm... Your question amounts to: How well would democracy work if, like, forty percent of the population whom the government served were not allowed to vote?
Given that, I can only answer: Not well.
No, I'll go a step further: What don't you understand about the word "democracy?"

I'd frankly rather use an IQ test to decide who can vote (and this would probably eliminate a large number of religious fanatics anyway), but then that wouldn't be a democracy, and it wouldn't conform to the laws set out in our Constitution.

I believe that this country was bound and set by christian believers but the were old testamnet believer, harsh even by todays christian beliefs. But once as a country there were seperation of church and state it should stay that way. christians believe that the bible is more powerful thatn the contstitution, but overall it is merely a fictitous collection of religous propaganda, the country would do better without christianity invading the government. or any religion for that matter.

Yes, but it would depend on what you call religiosity. There are an awful lot of false religions out there.
