I recently bought a custard apple, because friends have told me that they are really nice, but I am too embarassed to ask what to do with it?

Are you meant to just eat it or is it better to have it with something?

Are you allowed to eat the skin of it? I am so confused!

Also, I don't know if the one I bought is ripe - how do you tell if they are ripe? This one was really soft, does that tell you anything??

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Cut it in half and eat it with a spoon.

cut in half and eat with a spoon. you could have it with butter cake if you like, and honey.

you'll know the fruit is ripe when the skin is brown or yellowish with red streaks. it should smell great.
