Honestly -- and maybe this sounds out there -- I wouldn't want for there to be a Heaven...bear with me here. I like the idea that, after we die, we become worm food and serve to nourish the Earth for future generations. To me, this is a pretty Heaven-like concept. After all, I will have lived my life, after which I will be able to help ensure that my grandchildren's grandchildren will have the same opportunity.
This does not mean, though, that I do not want for there to be a God. To the contrary, I believe that all of this is God's master plan (for lack of a better phrase), and that He wouldn't have made all of this possible if He did not love us immensely. Considering that He knew me while I was in my mother's womb, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if He would take the time to make sure that my descendents were equally well-taken-care-of.

Yes, I was raised with the idea of a comforting loving god. No hell, no heaven per se, just spiritual evolution over many lives and eventual reunification with this divine intelligence.
Unfortunately, the evidence for such a being just does not seem to be there.

Face it , LIFE SUCKS!!! I want a God to exist to give me hope that my loved ones find eternal rest and peace at last. Also, how many evil and deserving people actually get punished for all they do? Considering if God exists, they would get the punishment for all they have done. Plus God is better at punishing than I am. LOL

I would say it is not that we do not like the fact of someone watching from above but there is no proof there is someone above. non what so ever. I would like there to be god designed especially for my needs and desires. I think every one should have 1. I believe philosophically that every one is their own personal god and that we are connected by the matter we are made. May science be with you. LOGIC/

GOD HIM being HIM as HE is the LORD of LORDs would extend an invitation to all that HE has made and HIM being the CREATOR as HE is would create a grand feast and Host and eternal party, the nature of this feast hall would be full of music from the lips of those who accept this invitation to the ears of HIM

If God isn't fielding questions in the afterlife, I'd prefer he stay hidden behind the curtain. He's got a lot of 'splainin to do...

I would love to live forever, so yes. I wouldn't want that God to be a religious God. Ethics are an exclusively human concern.

Join the right kind of church, you have instant friends, things to do, you know what books to read, music to listen to, and clothes to wear. All your thinking is done for you.
Is there a way to get god and heaven and reality too? Nope.
So I am left with no faith, finding my own friends, and choosing what I do, read, listen to, and wear all on my own. I am better off.

You seem to be asking not for a god, but for life after death. There are atheists who still believe in life after death (not me, but some).
I would probably like life and health to extend beyond what it is, but in the grand scheme of the planet, if we're going to reproduce, we also have to die. And I have yet to hear of any fashion of life that extends beyond the biological.

For What? Hell no. You could never tell what he was going to do. He might find it amusing to torture you like he did Job? Like a little kid playing with ants.
