You can do most of it online - the third party insurance (Green Slip) with some companies and the actual registration. If the van is more than 3 years old you will need a roadworthiness certificate (Pink Slip). This might be a challenge unless there are mechanics in WA or NT approved by the NSW RTA. Look on their website http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au , or phone them.

You could just re-register the van in WA or NT, which solves the problem.

nekohakase, rego is an Aussie term for Regestration so dont be the 1st to answer when you dont know what it is!

Personally, I dont know much but any Government site has everything on it these days as someone else said. Just have a good look, your 1st stop should be the RTA website. If it is anywhere, that will be the only place that you could do it online or get info. If not, give them a ring and see if you can do something in WA.

Perhaps you should have done this while you were home! But we all make mistakes. Happy Travels, tell us how you go!

What's a "rego?" Is that like a dance or something...? Like "The Two-step" or "The Tango"?
