One of the best things about being an atheist is that we don't think about things like this.

I would choose christianity. I would choose this mainly because no one should be ashamed of what kind of religion or beliefs they have. This might be the wrong answer for the person holding the gun to my head but at least they would know what my thoughts are and they can either accept it or shoot me. Why would I lie when answering, I am not gonna say what they want me to say for the sake of my health and or life. Honesty is the best road to take most of the time

If the person is wearing a towel on their head, I would say "Islam". Otherwise I would probably say "Christianity."

If someone puts a gun to my head I'm going to do what needs to be done in order to insure my survival. Then I will start thinking of a way to flip the cards around....

Not choose - blasted in head
Choose wrong - blasted in head

I would ask this gun weaving religious freak what religion he wanted me to be and convert on the spot.

EDIT

my choice is to not make the guy with the gun angry with me. I don't want to be blasted in the head. I'll say whatever he wants. He can't make me believe it.

And this is why everyone should take a gun safety- takeaway and retention class.

Neither - but I'll assure you I'll have the jerk's gun and we'll see what his answer is.

No blasted head, darling - just a poor hurt man on the ground wondering why he ever tried something so damn stupid.

A gun at your head is easy to take care of. Your actions can happen before the "gunman" can react. Knock the gun away and take the terrorist down and OUT Pops

Obviously, whatever the shooter wants me to say that I think will keep me alive. What's in your heart has nothing to do with how you answer this question. It's between you and whatever form of divinity you believe in. If it were God and he didn't "forgive" me, I think I'd rethink the whole situation. There is no point to die a martyr if it doesn't do the world any good. I have kids and my job is to stay alive and care for them FIRST. So, yeah, I'd say anything I could to stick around.

Given the state of the world these days- I guess I'd assume that the person pointing the gun at my head is islamic. So, to preserve my life, I'll claim to believe in anything he wants.

Whichever the one with the gun wanted me to choose.

Threatening me with a gun is not going to make me think that either of them is more than a fantasy, but if the person has a gun I will tell them whatever they want to hear.

In the light of Brian's answer, I would say Islam, since I won't be morally bound to remain within that faith. Then, when this scenario is over with and I'm safely away, I can go back to being UU.

I would answer with the only beliefs I have. They can point that gun at my head but it won't make me believe what they want. That is in my heart.
