I would take her to Riverside Grill in Georgetown. It's reasonably priced and it's the best place to relax after a hard day - it's right on the Potomac so you can get a table outside, enjoy a drink and just relax by the water.

There is this great restaurant on P Street called Logan Tavern. The food is really good and they have some classic dishes with a twist like Grilled Cheese with provolone and a horseradish spread. For two people you're looking at anywhere between $30.00 - $60.00

Check out http://www.washingtonian.com for a good restaurant. You can pick by price, location, menu, etc. That's your best bet because nova/dc is a large area with lots of restaurants.

I am not familiar with the area you live so not sure how far these new jersy/conn locations would be for you..have you eaten at the Rain Forest Cafe? Nice and relaxings...tropical showers (animated), lots of plants and animals of the rain forest...pretty cool and good food. Would be worth the drive.
