People say "America was founded by people who believed and loved God, this is a Christian nation and we should keep prayer in schools, God on the dollar bill, etc etc!"

Okay my response to this is, if all the founding fathers of America were white, does that mean we should keep the nation WHITES only?

The wheel was invented by people who drew on walls in animal fat, urine and blood, does that mean we should keep up those traditions as well, just because someone made a wheel, they were OBVIOUSLY right about EVERYTHING else. Right?

I don't see why I should have to live under YOUR god, in MY country.

brian8907: I'm sorry, but every morning when entering school, I am forced to stand, and pledge my unquestioning alliegence to YOUR christian God. When I Buy something at a store, I have to use YOUR "In god we trust" money. I do NOT want to pray to YOUR God in MY school. Do you not see this?

I might seem a bit racist to some, but i think mixing nations and races will only cause conflict.
I don't mind if a white person and a black person are true friends and can get along, or any other race, but its hard to have respect when the language and culture is different.

But I love God.
and if you don't like our God,
Leave, go to China or something where Christians are persecuted.

We have a pretty decent deal with the whole secular, but founded on Judeao-Christian principles thing.

That leaves a lot of room under a democracy for change and reform and betterment while keeping in tune with the needs and wants of all people.

I'm not religious by any stretch, but as long as your religion (or lack thereof, in our cases) doesn't revolve around blowing stuff up, it should be respected and recognized.

You take things way too far out of context, and blow them up out of proportion. Those examples have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Besides that, the Norse were actually the first white men to land here. So actually, we should either be a nation under Odin, or a nation under....whatever Native Americans worship.

I'm sorry, but do FBI agents come to your house every sunday morning and make you get up and go to church?

NO! This is not a christian country was not founded by christians, there was a spiritual awakening in the mid-20th century.

So you DON'T have to live under OUR God in YOUR country, but you do have to respect us. We respect you, well some do. And in return I do not want to hear you constantly denounce and bash my beliefs.

Well the good news about The United States is right or wrong you can believe or not believe whatever you choose. Thanks to the millions of men and women over the decades that have fought for that right for us to do just that.
Thank you veterans!

"Such a view of American history is completely contrary to known facts. The primary leaders of the so-called founding fathers of our nation were not Bible-believing Christians; they were deists."

Trust me, this is not a theocracy as you are obviously so paranoid it is becoming. In fact, it would be lovely if the overabundance of atheists would stop trying to take my God away from me.

The tradition should be upheld because Christianity is the only religion that will openly tolerate all the others.

No one is forcing you to live under my God and no one should be allowed to take my God away from me.
