generally llok over skin for any signs of skin problems, usually they do nothing, if they see something they may want to excise it (cut off) or treat it (rashes etc)
usually looking for signs of skin cancer and they usually find nothing

When I go, I tell them what i think is wrong and what needs to be treated, then they look at my problem areas, tell me what it is, and perscribe something or tell me how to fix it.

it depends on what ur there for, but usually look at ur face arms, legs and back for moles that might cause cancer
