There could be a few possibilities she could be a little bipolar, having a mental break down, stressed, depressed, frustrated or she could be having other problems inside her head that no one knows about but her. For example she could have lost a family member even, I mean there is good number of other possibilities of what could be wrong.

Remember the people who you think has the most perfect life sometimes isn't as perfect as you think. No one is perfect everyone has problems no matter how small they have some type of problem.

Maybe someone needs to sit down and have a serious talk with her about her problems, I'm sure it will come out eventually;she can't keep it bottled in forever.

Besides how long has she been like this?

Could be simply a hormonal disorder or depression. If she has a controlling personality, anyone who did not agree with her would be a cause for distress. No one has a "perfect" life. Until she realizes the problem is her and not everyone else, and seeks medical attention, she will remain as she is. As regards to her husband, he would be considered an enabler (one who enables another to persist in self-destructive behavior by providing excuses or by making it possible to avoid the consequences of such behavior). Both could use intervention.

Unfortunately what you are describing can be anything from depression, OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) to any of the anxiety disorders. It sounds some like OCD if the problem with controlling everything because she feels things need to be done to perfection. There really is no way to tell without seeing a doctor, but I know from experience that with OCD there is medications that can help. Also with any of the disorders. My OCD manifested in the form of anxiety and worry but it can take many forms. Hope she can seek help so she can start enjoying life.

First of all there is no "perfect" life. What you may see as perfect she may see as flawed. To tell her she is flat out "wrong" is inviting trouble as well. She may very well be wrong, but to come across that way, will only anger her more.Thirdly, there is nothing wrong with adults crying, it certainly doesn't mean she is acting like a "kid." I don't mean to sound like I am being mean, but it seems as if you have already made your decision about her, and short from acting the way you want her too, she will be wrong. Sometimes it is the people who are trying to "help" us are the ones that do the most damage. I always ask myself if I am trying to help them, or if I am just trying to be self righteous. One is admirable and the other selfish. Do not make the mistake of thinking that I am accusing you of anything, just giving you something to think about. Try to see things from her point of view.

Attention Deficit Disorder could be a partial diagnose.
But, it certainly sounds like she is someone who has gotten her way all her life and refuses to let anyone else have there way. When they were children a lot of these controlling type of people would cry until their parents gave in to them. It sounds like the behavior has been successful for her until now so she is just continuing it.

I'd say a manic depressive. Poor thing. She needs help bad. Can't her husband get her to a doctor? Are you a close friend? Sometimes just offering to listen will help someone depressed. Too bad more people don't see when someone is in need of help. It sounds just like a girlfriend of mine. Controlled and monitored medication gave her a new life.

The first thing I thought of was biopolar disorder. But I am hardly qualified to give such advise, and I would suggest that she be seen by a professional who will be able to diagnose exactly what's going on here.

This is all sounding a little strange to me. Your last question asked if your cousin has ADD. Perhaps talking to an adult you trust may be the best response I can give.

Good luck and take care of you,

Dee

she sounds schizophrenic to me because she has such a delusion that she has special powers & thinks she can control the world on 1 personality & the other side is a helpless person who wants somebody to feel sorry for her.
