Basic Brown gravy recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 can (10-1/2 ounce size) condensed beef broth
Directions:
In small saucepan, gradually add water to flour, whisking until smooth. Add beef broth (undiluted); whisk until well combined. Over medium-high heat, bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil 30 seconds.

Take the drippings from the meat you prepared bring to a boil take 1 cup of warm water and stir in 1 teaspoon of cornstarch or flour add slowly to your drippings while contining to stir bring to a boil again and you have homemade gravy

Easy Homemade Gravy:
25 min 10 min prep
4-6 servings
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup turkey drippings or margarine, melted
2 cups water
2 teaspoons wylers chicken bouillon granules
1. In a skillet, stir flour into the turkey drippings.
2. Cook and stir until brown.
3. Stir in water and Wylers chicken flavored bouillon granules.
4. Cook and stir until thickened.

1/2 cup White wine
Directions:
Blend all ingredients and cook until slightly thickened.

depends on what kind of gravy you want to make. I know for like gravy to go with meat, like pork chops you just use the fat from the pork chops frying and add flour and milk and stir it until it thickens and add salt or pepper to taste. Same thing if you wanted to make like sausage gravy for breakfast. Be sure and cook the flour and fat for a few minutes so it doesn't taste gluey.
Betty Crocker cookbook, the red one, has a lot of good recipes for gravy, sauces, etc...

My Mom and Grandmom add flour to the grease. No measuring cup, and it comes out perfect every time.
I add an equal amount of flour (equal to the grease) and whisk it. It is lumpy and looks like something you skim from the bucket under the sink.
