"They are closed-minded individuals who do not want to own up to taking responsibility for their thoughts in this life time"
Hmmm!. The religious people seem to think that believing in God means taking responsibility for their thoughts. I thought it was the other way round! If you believe in God then you can just relax and say say that everything is as he wills it. You are not really responsible for your thoughts or actions. It is God's will. An atheist, on the other hand has no option but to take responsibility for his thoughts, actions and choices.
I do what I do because I think it is the right thing to do. I don't believe in a childish God who judges all our actions and keeps a balance sheet and downloads a virtual version of our minds "soul" into either a heaven or a hell after death. Neither do I believe in a nebulous creator who created the Universe. Somehow people don't seem to realize that that hypothesis only expands the scope of the term "universe" beyond the known and unneccesarily complicates an already complex model.
The simplest explanation for things is that everything is as it seems to be: We live and die. When we die we die. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people as often as the other way round.
We can make our own decisions and accept the consequences or we can blame it all on someone else. The choice, in more ways than one, is clear.

Sarah the Bible clearly says that the carnal mind is at war with God. The carnal mind wars against the spirit every day. The carnal mind never wants to be subject to the spirit of God. The carnal mind never seeks the approval of God. This is the spiritual struggle in every man. only Christ can save a man from his sins. Only the Holy Spirit can draw a man to Christ. We have a responsibility to be loving and caring as well as patient declaring the good news of christ to all who have a desire to hear and obey. This is what the good fight of faith is all about. don't give up the fight. 1 Peter 5:7.

I do believe in Jesus Christ. Remember tho, even back in Jesus day, He did miracle after miracle and people still didn't believe. Some people just don't want to, some feel they don't need Jesus.
I didn't get saved until I was 30. I wanted to do things my way, and not until I totally messed up my life did I turn to Him. Many people see no need for Him. It's hard to believe but true, they think they're doing alright on their own.

Well basically because there is no evidence of course, I mean the 70,000 people at Fatima, they were all delusional and crazy. All other miracles even those caught on tape are clearly forgeries or coincidences. Also the theory that Jesus never existed, though dismissed by biblical scholars and historians clearly is more logical.
Those "freethinkers" are very open to "evidence.

People don't believe in a God because they've obviously never met Him. The Bible is fulfilling itself with this unbelieving generation. It's just like in the time of Noah. I'd like to know ,though, how people think they're heart keeps beating as long as it does and keeps the breath going into their lungs? It's been said that the human body is the most complex. Personally, I believe that God is real. He's the one that created me & keeps me going from day to day.

Some people just don't have the belief in a creator. I don't understand why people can't accept that some people have that theory even if it's not their own. Personally, I don't know if there is a god or not. I would say I err on the side of yes, there is a creator based on my own personal experiences and research.

There is no actual proof!! Yeah, there's writing in books and cave wall but wheres the proof. I could write something now in a well hidden area and in a 1000 years will I be a Saint or what not!! I could say I walked on water and have my drunk friends write something saying that they seen me do it.Will I be a big Hoopla in a 1000 years. This is just my opinion and take no offense to it but this is the reason why for me. (Santa Clause, Ghost etc.)

--WHAT HAPPENS in many cases is that either they set themselves up as a Narcisstic personality, who you probably know of as the god , who was so in love with himself, that he died viewing himself in a pool of water of old age!(he would not move from his reflection in the water)
--SO SELF-LOVE or the me-god scenario is taken on to themselves!
--OR THEY find another god in another philosophical atheist , evolutionist to set up as their idol as they are impressed with their "wisdom"! Also sports & entertainment gods--OUR HEROES!
--THEN TOO there are concepts that are set up as gods , such as:
Lady luck, mother nature, ,a whole array of pseudo-gods are everywhere and the ignore the true God & his Son:
(Isaiah 65:11) “. . .“But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny.”
--SO IN other words any type of convient thing, and indeed there are so many at peoples convience!

I am agnostic. That means I don't necessarily believe there is a god, but i don't discount the idea. It's just that science makes more sense to me than religion. But who knows, maybe there is a god.

There isn't a shred of evidence for any god. The "miracles" you are referring to are all just random occurrences. Thousands of kids die of starvation and you think that constitutes some type of divine intervention that would qualify was a miricle?
