the color of the cat has nothing to do with how they act. it just depends on the personality of the cat. its just like saying blondes are dumb.
i also have an orange tabby cat. he is very dosile.

The color of the cat's coat has NO bearing on it's personality. It's a combination of genes and care. If a kitten learns young that human hands are gentle and comforting, you'll have a loving cat. I have 2 male Siamese, born here in my home, who were handled several times a day - starting while they were still wet from birth. I've had the mama cat - Gatita - since she was very tiny, and she trusts me completely, even with her newborns. My boys - Beast and Kritter - are loving animals. They greet me at the door when I come home, and love to be petted, brushed, and bathed. When company comes over, all three cats are delighted, and make friends immediately. Many people think that Siamese cats are aloof and/or mean. Not these 3, they never heard of such a thing! They even welcomed our Golden Retriever 3 years ago, and started cleaning his ears the same day.

I haven't experienced 'orange' kitties. I know all the smoke grey kitties I've ever met were horrible mean and irritable. Couldn't even walk near the things without them hissing (totally different households, totally different decades in my life)
All kitties go through an adolecence of "crazy", even my tiger tabby. That's when they are the most entertaining. They'll also calm down after spaying/neutering.

No. No cat is "crazy" unless it actually has a genetic mental illness in its family line. Who ever said that must have had a bad experience with a cat that happened to be an orange tabby.
I do hope your kitties are catastrated though. Or else you might end up with a dozen psychotics running around. :-)

The best cats I've had have been Orangies. I had one for 16 years and she was lovable, fun and just great. MOST people I know love their Orangies. However, my grandmother hated "yellow cats".
I don't think the color of the fur determins personality much. Really. It's YOUR personality and how you treat the cat and the cat's inherent personality that matters.

I have 2 cats, both girls. Neither of them are orange but both of them are on the wacky side. But, know what? Thats cool. They have their own personalities and I wouldnt trade them for the world.

the color of a cat doesn't mean anything about personality. Every cat is different.

There's no truth to color and temperament. I've seen every color and there are sweet and nasty of all colors.
