it came out many years that you should drink 2 litres a day, but what was never told that 1 litre would be ok.
if you aim for 2 it would be better.
also take into consideration the amount of exercise you are doing - if you weigh youself before and then after exercise, whatever weight you have lost this is water, 1 kilo of lost weight = 1 litre of lost water, so make sure you keep drinking.

As a general rule; two-third's your weight in ounces. For example, a person weighing 100 lbs should drink at least 66.6 ounces of water daily. However, there are certainly other considerations. Intense exercise may bring on a need for more hydration than usual.
