It is best to remain in prayer throughout the entire day. There isn't a best time to pray. The important thing is that you do pray. Morning, night and all times in between are sufficient times to pray. Pray always.

I pray at night before I go to bed. I pray sometimes during the day if I have a special prayer request or just want to thank God.

It depends on your religion and personal beliefs, as well as your own preference if this isn't an issue.

Some denominations of Christianity pray during certain times of the day, while others pray whenever they feel the need. Outside of the Christian religion, practitioners of Eastern religions may pray/meditate whenever they feel the need (such as an important job or great hardship, though many Eastern religions are atheistic), and Muslims are required to pray five times a day, including at morning and in the evening.

Both, and pray all day, when you can. Definitely when you first wake-up before the world can pollute our minds.
