This accurate type of information is unavailable on Yahoo Answers.

You must visit with, or telephone your hometown military Recruiters for the very latest information. (A visit is best when getting your information.)

Right now, start making a list of all the questions you can think of. When the time comes, take your list of questions with you to the hometown military Recruiter and "pick their brain" to ensure all your questions are answered.

Also ask what types of high school courses you would also need to graduate high school, which would be to your advantage for your potential future job, when enlisting in the military.

NROTC is largely an elective and all of us (who's in incredibly good subject and does incredibly properly at school) can take it. particularly some scholars who desire to fee then attempt and %. up a 2 or 3 year scholarship or get more advantageous status, so as that they might settlement to fee. After sophomore year, the only ones who'll be taking the NROTC software as juniors and seniors would be those gotten smaller/on scholarship.

the chances of you working in Biochemistry after accepting an ROTC scholarship is VERY SLIM. ROTC trains SWOs and Aviators mostly, with Nukes and other communties thrown in for good measure. the Navy has very few pure reasearchers on Active duty.. most of them are civilian contracters.

scholarships are very tough to get.. you are compteteing against the cream of the crop amongst your peers.

You can apply for a NROTC scholorship.

Link is below for the Navy's ROTC webpage.

Navy NROTC scholorships are just like all other scholorships, they are competetively awarded.

But by accepting a NROTC scholorship, you do incur a military committment.
