If you didn't want a safe car you should just sell it and buy an old car from the 70's that has a lap belt, drum brakes and no ECU at all. You bought a 4-star car, not a 1-star 70's mobile. Considering nearly 1/2 of the people killed in auto accidents are killed because they didn't wear their seatbelt I have to wonder what is going through your mind...soon to be the windshield if I had to guess. You can check the fuse box for a seat belt fuse, or maybe try buckling the seat belt prior to sitting down and sit on top of it, or you can try cutting the seat belt in 2 and inserting the connector...hey it might work.

There is no way to turn it off. There is no fuse for it. There are sensors in your seat that let the car know that there is a person present. Just like in your passenger seat. No reputable service department will cut it off for you either because they could get a serious fine. They only way to make it stop is wear your seatbelt.

I have a 2007 Hyundai Accent. Fasten your seatbelt before you turn the key and you won't hear it.
