I'm 27 and still single. I could really use some advice.

be brave and ask out every girl you are attracted to. You can't find the right woman and not expect to have to wade through the wrong ones.

You best thing is to make sure that you are out there meeting people. A really great way is to really involve yourself in your hobbies. What do you like to do? Sail? Rock climb? Breed pure bred Dobermans? Whatever. There is a group for everything. That way the two of you will already have something in common to talk about. You're not going to find her right away but you'll find someone. Just remember she's probably not going to ring your doorbell. Good luck.

Sounds like you could. It really depends on what is stopping you. If its plain old fear of getting close then that can be dealt with pritty simply. If its something more deeper that has seeded itself into you then you may be out of luck.

not easy. basically set some basic parameters to start and likes and dislikes and scan the horizon for someone whom fits as close as possible and be nice

In my opinion, try to focuse on girls who are interested in the things you like, not about what you hate.
