Barrera should of gone with Marquez, but in the same breath he`s a warrior and will do what warriors do fight the best.

I guess it's the wrong decision for him. Barrera is an old fighter and obviously on the way down as shown during his last fight with Marquez. He was slow, tentative and was really overwhelmed by Marquez's counterpunching tactics. On the other hand, Pacman is at his peak and continues to get even better. Pacquiao knocked Barrera out 4 years ago when he was still at his best. He might get killed this time around. Pacman's just too powerful for him. However, if Barrera's after the big payday then he made the right decision. Anyone who fights Pacquiao these days gets a fat paycheck.

Wrong decision, to the guy Formulated, heres the scoop, Marquez is weak enough to hurt Barrera, Pacquiao has already demolished Barerra, Did technical expertise of Marquez has knock out Barrera? No. Pacquiao has already devastated Marquez if not that for faulty Judge who scored 10-7 instead of 10-6 in the first round. Oh, Marquez is good but its not that impressive. Let him try to fight Morales or even Jorge Solis and see what difference he got against a Pacquiao.

Barrera has the better chance against Pacquaio, a fighter who is "figureoutable." Marquez, the talented counter puncher and ring tactician, is nearly impossible for a fighter like Barrera to beat w/ out some luck. But did Marco make a good choice choosing to fight Manny at this late stage in his career? I think he has to give it a shot. Pacquaio not only beat him, he humiliated him, at a time when Barrera was on top of his game and Pacquaio was seen as one dimensional. Give Manny a try. Then, consider hanging 'em up...win, lose, draw!!! Great hall-of-fame career!

this is probably the last fight of his career why not go out against the one guy who completely dominated you and get some redemption. barrera is a very proud man and he would always have that hanging over his head if did not at least try and redeem himself in a rematch. jm marquez would have been a great fight but people have wanted to see this rematch for a long time to see if barrera can overcome the mountain known as MANNY. great fight and great deciscion go out with a bang and not with a fizzle.

I think your crazy thinking that it would have been wiser to go against J.M. Marquez, because this guy is just way more technical than Pacquiao.
Yeah I know Manny is much more faster and stronger, but he is wild, his left hand can be nutrilized and Barrera is a master at that.
Plus Pacquaio does not have a plan B and or C if plan A fails on him. J.M. Marquez has one if not the best trainer in the world with Nacho Beriestien

Barrera has a better chance with Juan Manuel Marquez if he can pull off that "knock down" he did in their last fight.

I think it is a great monetary decision he would make more money fighting pacman but a bad boxing decision IMO, as much as it hurt saying this i think he would lose by KO,
He has a better chance of beating Marquez i think he almost did in their previous fight

In fighting Pacquiao I think it's obvious by now. The guy wants to retire and wants to have his last fat pay check. Plus he doesn't want to named a coward by bypassing Pacquiao and picking up sluggish fighting opponents. By fighting Paquiao, it appears that it would be a sweeter ending to lose at a great boxer than to lose to one of those non-sense fighters.
