They Don't Believe In This? ...
The ‘Holy’ Bible advocates the KILLING of 2/3s of ALL HUMANITY – me, just because I accept tons of scientific evidence over zero evidence of any of humanity’s “Gods.”

BIBLICAL DEATH PENALTY: KILL UNBELIEVERS - Chronicles 15:12-13 (NIV) … They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul. All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.
( ARE SECULAR LAWS THE ONLY THING STOPPING CHRISTIANITY FROM KILLING ALL OF US NON-Xians? )
( In Any SANE Society, The Bible Would NOT BE READ. )

I looked at the other 16 answers and can say without a doubt, what a load of cr**p! They have no idea what they are talking about.

JWs are different because we closely follow the Bible as true Christians should. We believe as Jesus taught. Following the Christ is the meaning of Christian people!!!

We don't follow a trinity as the Bible doesn't teach it. The Bible shows the true God of the Bible has a personal name, Jehovah (Ps. 83:18) We use that name. God is a title. Get it straight! The first thing Jehovah created was his son, Jesus. All other things were made using Jesus. Jesus is not equal to Jehovah or else Jesus would not have said, "My Father is greater than I am." (John 14:28) Or was Jesus lying so people of today could be right?

Everything we do believe in is based on what the Bible, as God's Word, approves of. The commands and principles guide us in living our best lives. It protects us from much of the corruption of the world. It warns against fornication. How many have died due to AIDS and other STDs? It tells of how building a good family life saves people from much pain. How many prisons would be empty if the people now there could have had a stable, wholesome family?

How many of you were shocked to find out your parents had lied to you about Santa Claus and Easter bunny? If they lied about that, what else have they lied about? We don't lie to our kids, but raise them with us. They get just as many gifts and presents without the lies and pagan worship of the holidays.

When we have questions and go to more spiritually mature ones in the congregation, we don't get, "It's a mystery." They might have to look it up, but will come back with the answer because our faith is based on the logical Bible and not just a bunch of half-way chopped up beliefs from everyone with a pulse!

Immortality of the soul, where you go at death, hellfire are all such pagan based beliefs. The Bible does not support them so we do not believe in them.

All JWs are ministers as it was in Jesus' time. There is no clergy class. No one is paid for the ministry. Everything is voluntary contributions. No collection plate or bag is ever passed. That is the way 1st century Christians did it. With Jehovah and Jesus in charge, our needs are met. Why should we beg for money as the nations do?

We preach and teach the way Jesus ordered us to do in the last paragraph of Matthew. They went house to house as the best way of teaching, making sure the individuals got the proper understanding of the scriptures. We also go for a witness to all the nations. Most delight in this old wicked system and will not change their ideas. Notice it said "for a witness" not conversion. They just must have a chance to hear. If they don't, it is on their heads, not ours.

We have nothing to do with politics. Jesus did not, neither did any 1st century Christians. They understood the ruler of this world is not God, but Satan. When Jesus was being tempted in the desert and Satan offered him any or all the kingdoms of the world for just one act of worship to Satan, Jesus never disputed his authority to make the offer. In other places, Satan is called the ruler of this world.

That is also why we know Jehovah is not responsible for all the terrible pain and disaster in the world. He will be responsible for clearing it up and restoring life to those who deserve it. That is part of the good news we declare.

witnesses want nothing to do with Christianity.
They do not believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) making up GOD. The believe its three separate people. They do not believe Jesus was hung on a cross...they think it was a straight pole and the call it a torture stake.
Plainly...they are not Christians and are insulted if you refer to them as such.
There are many other differences too many to list, but it is something you want to say FAR FAR FAR away from.
They don't celebrate Christmas, Easter, birthdays...nothing...it is all pagan to them. Personally the God I worship can take pagan things and change them for the good...their god is not that strong. The even believe that the steeple on a church is a pagan worship symbol

The Bible does not agree with the modern view that there are many acceptable ways to worship God. Ephesians 4:5 says there is “one Lord, one faith.” Jesus stated: “Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it, Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.”

Repeatedly the Scriptures refer to the body of true Christian teachings as “the truth,” and Christianity is spoken of as “the way of the truth.” Because Jehovah’s Witnesses base all of their beliefs, their standards for conduct, and organizational procedures on the Bible, their faith in the Bible itself as God’s Word gives them the conviction that what they have is indeed the truth. So their position is not egotistical but demonstrates their confidence that the Bible is the right standard against which to measure one’s religion. They are not self-centered but are eager to share their beliefs with others.

Do other religions also follow the Bible?

Many use it to some extent. But do they really teach and practice what it contains? Consider: (1) From most of their Bible translations they have removed the name of the true God thousands of times. (2) The Trinity doctrine, their concept of God himself, is borrowed from pagan sources and was developed in its present form centuries after Bible writing was completed. (3) Their belief in immortality of the human soul as the basis for continued life is not taken from the Bible; it has roots in ancient Babylon. (4) The theme of Jesus’ preaching was the Kingdom of God, and he sent his disciples out to talk personally to others about it; but the churches today seldom mention that Kingdom and their members are not doing the work of preaching “this good news of the kingdom.” (Matt. 24:14) (5) Jesus said that his true followers could be readily identified by their self-sacrificing love for one another. Is that true of the religions of Christendom when the nations go to war? (6) The Bible says that Christ’s disciples would be no part of the world, and it warns that whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God; but the churches of Christendom and their members are deeply involved in the political affairs of the nations. (Jas. 4:4) In view of such a record, can it honestly be said that they really adhere to the Bible?

That is the difference.

Christians believe Jesus has risen and lived, while Johovah Witnesses think Jesus is a prophet and not God's son. They don't celebrate holidays or birthdays. They also don't say the Pledge of Allegiance or believe in blood transfusions. They don't drink any alcohol and do not smoke. Sorry, I don't know much, but I hope that helps!

J.W.s believe that Jesus was Michael the Arc angel and not the Son of God.They go door to door to work out their salvation,so the blood sacrifice of Jesus is not real to them. They rewrote the Bible to suit themselves. They won't have transfusion's,no Holidays are celebrated not even birthdays, and they won't serve in the military.

Jehovah Witness isn't Christian. They believe that there is no hell and that you obtain paradise by working hard. That's why so many of them go door to door.

As Jehova's Witness you have to knock doors, ring bells and dress with a suit in order to have a good looking even when it's very hot outside.
