Ibuprofen I have never found out about. But the chewable aspirin you can give them for pain, arthritis, injury, etc.

Depending on the size of the dog depends on how much. I had a 100 lb German Shepard that got two pills up to 2 times a day.

I very recently was told by a vet that ibuprofen, aspirin etc. can be very bad for a pet. Definitely check with your vet. There are some good prescription meds for dogs with arthritis but they can be expensive. Check out 1-800-PET MEDS or their website, their deals are often better then what you will pay a veterinarian.

My brother in laws dog has hip problems and joint stiffness and that dog gets an asprin. It's something you need to talk to your vet about because of the different dosage strength.

I wouldnt do it unless a vet said it was okay. Since human meds obviously aren't made for dogs, you never know if it could kill him. If your dog is in enough pain to need meds, you should be taking him to a vet anyways. DO NOT listen to those asking you to dillute it, etc. because they may have a different size of dog in a different situation!

Let the vet be the judge of that. Go to a vet and ask for pain releif medicine for your dog. If they say that your dog is perfectly fine then he is.

NO!! Do not give her ibuprofen or tylenol, it can be fatal.

Why does she need it?? you can give very small amounts of baby aspirin, but it depends on what it's for.

NO, Absolutely NOT!!!! It is toxic to dogs...no ibuprphen, no tylenol ever!!!

Asprin is considered safe however not for all dogs...you need to check with your vet to see if it is ok for your dog and to get proper dosage.

i dont know, but my vet said i can take a tylenol chop it in half disolve it water and give it. a smaller dog give less maybe...i had a gol ret mix with border collie...he hurt his leg and that's what the vet said.
call your vet and describe the injury pain how the dog is acting and what breed or breeds it is...usually the vet can tell you or say to bring it in
