None at all (probably). Any decent video editor will be able to handle both PAL and NTSC, and the tapes are identical.

the tape is universal by design. the digital recording scheme is not the same.

good software should be able to deal with files made from pal video.

however you probably will need the PAL camcorder to play the tape for firewire transfer to the computer. likewise, there may be issues getting the edited video back to PAL without a PAL recorder because the data stream is different.
